I have been a member of our community for many years, since 1964 when I moved here to teach school. I retired from full time teaching so now I have plenty of time to devote to raising Airedales.

My interest in Airedales was founded in 1965 when a family moved down from Alaska and they had to move to town. "Rex", the Airedale dog, had to go...either to me or to...well, I won't get into that! Anyway, I said, "An air, what?", as I had no idea what an Airedale dog was. I was raised on a farm and we had stock dogs with various breeds in their heritage-- probably some were part Airedale. But I don't think there ever was a purebred Airedale anywhere in the community I was raised in. So, I said no to my friends, that I didn't want this dog. I didn't know what the "Air..." dog was, and besides I wanted a puppy. Well, they brought Rex to my house anyway to see what I would think of him. Rex immediately thought he was my dog, and of course, dogs always seem to win my heart over! Rex immediately was my cherished dog until the day he died and I no longer had to say "An air...what", as I knew from this time on, that an Airedale would always be a part of my life.

I believe I can raise you an Airedale Terrier that can win your heart the way over the way Rex did mine!
